Ray Peal is a Nashville native living in Jacksonville, FL. He divides his time between the Music City and his home in Florida. Ray is self-employed, and owns a successful manufacturer’s rep agency with offices in Jacksonville and Miami. Being self employed provides him with the luxury of managing his own schedule which provides ample time to work on his craft, and travel to Nashville on a regular basis. While there he makes an effort to co-write, pitch and perform his music. Recently, Ray has been co-writing with some veteran and Nashville writers, including Jesse McRae, Michael Gresham , Jay Sellers, Ronny Gentry, Jamey Whiting, Nick Rosa, Mike and Jeanne Strickland, Paul Becksmith, Rob Eggers, Kurt Martin, and Johnny Williams, to name just a few.

He has been performing, playing, and writing music since the age of 14. His musical influences run the gamut of genres and include: The Beatles, CSNY, Lyle Lovett, Bob Dylan, John Prine, Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Jimmy Buffet, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, and many more too numerous to name.

Ray is a permanent fixture around the North Florida acoustic music scene. His music has been labeled everything from pop to folk to country to acoustic rock. Like most songwriters, he writes about life, and puts his unique eclectic spin on it.

Ray has landed several song contracts, but as of this writing, that first commercial radio cut remains elusive. His signature song "I HOPE GOD GRADES ON A CURVE" is presently being actively shopped by Nashville veteran musician, producer and publisher, Jamey Whiting of Nashville Tunes. Others are being considered for movies and sound tracks.
